CORE Collaborative

Community Of Resilient Educators

This trauma-informed collaborative is designed to support Pre-K–12 educators, administrators, counselors, and student support staff in implementing trauma-informed practices that enhance school climate, strengthen student-staff relationships, and promote whole-school wellness.

  • A cohort-based professional learning experience
  • Three full-day, in-person workshops in Greensboro, North Carolina

Who Can Apply?

  • Applicants must be currently employed in a K-12 school setting (teachers, administrators, student support staff, etc.).
  • We strongly encourage administrative staff, counselors and school social workers to apply.
  • Applicants must submit a statement of support from school leadership to participate in the collaborative and implement strategies within their school context.
  • Applicants must be committed to advancing trauma-informed practices as a priority for student and staff well-being.

Expectations & Time Commitment:

  • Participants will engage in monthly virtual consultation calls (60 minutes per session).
  • Participants will attend 3 in-person, full-day learning sessions in Greensboro, NC.
  • Individual participants will complete pre- and post- surveys to identify strengths and areas for growth in trauma-informed implementation.
  • Participants will be expected to share reflections and progress throughout the process.
  • Participants must commit to completing all assignments and leading discussions within their school setting.
  • Attendance Policy: Cohort members are expected to attend all Professional Development days. If a member cannot attend a scheduled session, they must email at least 72 business hours before the session starts. If applicable, members should also provide an appropriate explanation for their absence. Members must not miss more than one day, regardless of whether it is excused or unexcused. Stipends will not be issued to members who miss 1 or more days.

Available Stipends:
A $1,000 stipend is available to participants upon successful completion of this program.

Substitute Reimbursement:
The CORE Collaborative budget covers the cost of substitutes for cohort members. Each member is eligible for a total of 3 substitute reimbursements. Substitute reimbursement requests must be made via your completed application
