One-Time Workshops
Introductory Workshops:
Our Center provides introductory workshops to groups and schools across the state. Our sessions range from one hour to a full day, focusing on the intersection of brain science, trauma, and classroom success.
Workshop Overview
This experiential session offers a deep dive into the research behind Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the brain science of the stress response system. We move beyond theory to show exactly how trauma manifests in the classroom.
Once a foundation is built, we shift to actionable, trauma-informed strategies that educators can implement immediately.
Our framework focuses on four key resilience-building areas:
- Staff Well-being: Supporting the health of the educators themselves.
- Relationship-building: Creating a culture of safety and connection.
- Predictability: Using routines and structured environments to foster stability.
- SEL & Self-Regulation: Teaching students how to manage their emotions and responses.
Throughout the training, we integrate culturally responsive teaching practices to ensure strategies are equitable and inclusive for all students.

Learning Objectives
By the conclusion of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand the prevalence of ACEs and their physiological impact on child brain development.
- Connect the dots between trauma and student behavior/learning capacity.
- Develop tangible resilience-building strategies to use in both individual classrooms and school-wide settings.
Customized Training: If your school has specific needs within the trauma-informed education umbrella, we are happy to tailor our content to meet your goals.
