Our full Center model is our most intensive level of training and support and while it is the most time intensive, we also believe it is the option most likely to lead to true culture change and strategy implementation with positive outcomes. The full Center model includes ongoing whole staff training and ongoing coaching with a core team (called a Resilience Team) meeting bi-weekly throughout the entire school year. The coach provides consultation, helps the team identify their school’s greatest challenges and set goals, works with the team through an action-planning process for strategy implementation, and assists with outcome measuring. The Center coach will be present in the school for these meetings twice a month and will spend additional time in the school conducting climate walks and meeting individually with staff. Our full model lasts at least one full school year, and for many schools continues with coaching and refresher training for two to three years to ensure sustainability.
Full program model includes:
- Ongoing training and coaching with one assigned Project staff for a full school year: Full program requires a more formal proposal and MOU with the district; please reach out to discuss partnership costs and options.

What our Level Five participants are saying:
“We have come a long way in investing time in kids and not just automatically sending them to the office.”
“Before, when seeing behavior problems, it was about what’s wrong with me as a teacher or wrong with this kid; now I am asking why — where is the behavior coming from? And how should I respond to it? Having those conversations in the forefront has helped teachers think differently about why students behave the way they do and how to respond.”
“The collaboration with the Center for Resilience and Learning has helped our school feel like a different school now than when I first started.”
“Staff seem to have a better understanding of our role as adults in escalating and de-escalating situations for kids. In the past, some staff would inadvertently escalate something because they thought it was the right thing to do, but now our staff really understand the right way to handle certain behaviors and the right role to have.”
“We have seen a difference in our students and our relationships with them with the implementation of [new resilience strategies].”
“Something resilience has done for me this year, you can get caught up on how to solve the problem right now to move from point a to point b, but these skills we are giving kids is going to change their life, not just what am I doing for this kid right now but what can I do for this kid for the future.”
“I think what went really well is that we were able to move forward with small chunks. The way you presented the information and support during our team meetings, things were easy to digest. You gave us small chunks – so that we can get to an end result. There wasn’t and still is no hard, fast deadline.”
